Great discovery! We were referred to Rick of Fix It Atlanta by someone we trust. I thought we'd be happy with the work, but we were MORE than happy. Rick came to give an estimate on oiling our IPE deck, on staining a walkway, and on painting a white fence. He researched the best way to treat the Brazilian wood, he suggested hand rolling the entire deck, deck, steps, and trim. He brought samples of color choices back out for us to choose. He told us he'd hand paint the fence so it would last longer than the one year spray job had. We were impressed with his professionalism and liked him saying he operated on the policy of "There's no reason to do something if you are not going to do it right." He and his great crew arrived on time and stayed late to complete the big job in one day. Everything looks wonderful. We are very, very pleased and will certainly call him again for other work.

Rick's team did a wonderful job replacing deck boards and handrais on my deck. I was concerned about whether it would look good since the pickets (vertical boards that hold up the handrails) weren't being replaced but they blended the new wood and old wood well so it looked great and not like I was too cheap to replace the entire deck. I also appreciated how Rick's team was able to get the job done without having to disturb my new tenants who also commented on how nice the "new deck" looks. Rick's team also did a wonderful job replacing my front door. It is possible to find someone who will charge less for the job (which I did but still chose Rick) but you know you'll have peace of mind and get a good quality job with Rick's team!

Rick and his crew performed an exceptional job in replacing our water intake pipe system from galvanized steel to CPVC pipes with copper connections at all cut-off valves. The entire house was re-done and we now have clean, fast running water and no leaks. A major project was repairing a leak in the main bathroom without removing the old shower pipes. Due to the construction of the house back in 1967, it was a major challenge for Rick and his crew, but they accomplished the impossible and we now have clear fast running water in the shower and tub. All this was done without shutting off the water entirely and causing us an inconvenience. We would recommend FixIt Atlanta to anyone without hesitation for any remodeling project involving your home.

We were in need of a contractor to fix our deck. Rick came to inspect the deck promptly and gave us a quote. He appeared to be sincere and honest. His price was in a middle ranking; definitely not the cheapest. However, he was thorough in analyzing and examining the problems (we had several contractors came to assess the project, but he was the only one who crawled under the deck to investigate whether there were any hidden structural defects). We presumed that as a result of his in-depth analysis, we would be offered a more accurate estimation, and with no surprises during construction of the deck. We selected Fix It Atlanta based on the following criteria: We want a good quality job without breaking our bank. We did not want a big surprise along the way causing the price of the project escalate beyond the original estimate. Finally, Rick and his crew would be the ones who complete the deck, not a subcontractor (some contractors will subcontract the job when they are too busy and/or do not pose a specialty in handling the job). We were not disappointed! Rick and his crews met our expectations. They were hard working people that took pride in their workmanship, and cleaned up the site neatly after completing the deck .They were responsible, reliable, and very easy to work with. Rick would call periodically to give us an update on the progress, or to get back with us when we had a question.

Well I would probably start by saying that Rick and his crew proved that every horror story you hear about contractors can be wrong. They were on time, worked well beyond normal hours due to winter weather issues so that I would not be inconvenienced, and did an excellent job. They painted the entire interior of my condo, including the horrible job of scraping off the popcorn ceiling and refinishing and painting. They also did a few minor repair jobs for me such as replacing a lighting fixture, replacing sliding doors and fixing a leaky toilet. I could not recommend them more. They were on the higher side of the estimates I received but it was well worth it to have everything done right and timely.

Rick (and his crew) recently replaced the siding on my townhouse. He came to my house, examined all the siding and gave me estimates on cost to fix it either in parts or all at once, and the cost of different materials. After discussing, I decided to have all of it replaced with Hardi-Plank and Rick gave me a quote under what someone else had given me a year previously. He and his team did the job very professionally, replacing the few spots of rotten wood that they found and installing the new siding very securely so there would be no leakage in the future. They then repainted all of it, including the trim, and it looks beautiful. Throughout the process, he always kept me advised as to their timing and what was going on.
